Reports of bricked Macs have been spreading around the internet lately. It is believed to be an issue in the update that is corrupting the firmware on Macs. This is a problem that shouldn't bee happening when you pay lots of money for a premium product such as a MacBook. This is something that I wouldn't expect from Apple.
As most of us know, MacOS Catalina drops support for 32-Bit Apps. I will not be updating any of my Macs until I see a 32-Bit compatibility layer release. You can think of the compatibility layer being similar to Rosetta, Apple's solution for using PowerPC OS X Apps on an Intel Mac running 10.4.3, 10.5, or 10.6.8.

Gateway Solo 5300 Battery Rebuild10/21/2019 Last night I rebuilt my Gateway Solo 5300's battery pack using Sony 18650s from another laptop battery. It went well for the most part (no explosions or fire). When fitting the batteries in place, the plastic coating tore and the positive terminal of one battery shorted against the other's outer casing. Luckily there was only a small spark and I quickly remove the cells. I have placed several pieces of electrical tape to separate the batteries. After fitting the cells in their casing, tightly albeit, I put it in the laptop. When plugging it in I couldn't help but holler "Smoke Test!" as uxwbill would say.
AirPods Pro?10/18/2019 Glyphs were found in iOS 13.2 Beta which hint at a redesign of Apple's AirPods. With these AirPods, Apple will be focusing on sound quality. The new AirPods are rumored to have noise cancelling features. Apple may release these by the end of this year. These should be priced around $250 USD.
iOS 13.2 Developer Beta 310/17/2019 iOS 13.2 Developer Beta 3 came out yesterday. I'm currently installing it now on my 16GB iPhone SE. I currently have 4.31GB available, I'll see if this changes after the update. Since I updated from 12.4 to iOS 13.1.2 I can't setup Hey Siri, it doesn't detect any input from the microphone but Siri can hear me just fine when I manually trigger it. I've tried a factory data reset but, no luck. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, I haven't been experiencing any other problems with the betas and the transition from 12.4 to 13 was great for me. I would stay on 12 until iOS 13 has gotten some more bug fixes if you're still on it, some people have been experiencing call dropping and other issues.
After the update, I lost about 372MB of storage space after updating. Siri still doesn't work. The edit actions menu when viewing an album inside the music app shows green plus signs when it should show red negative symbols. Nothing else is broken that I can see. Go ahead and update if your on any other version of iOS. iOS 11.32/8/2018 iOS 11.3 is in beta stage 2. This update should fix the battery problems and CPU throttling. To add clarity to the matter, your iPhone only slows down when your battery wears out. If it didn't throttle, you would see a major drop in runtime for an increase in performance.
iOS 11.3 CPU Update2/5/2018 Apple will soon release iOS 11.3 which will include the setting to disable CPU throttling. All of the bugs introduced along with iOS 11 will be fixed with iOS 12. iOS will not present as many new features as predicted.
Apple news12/19/2017 As it turns out Apple does slow down your iPhone when the battery wears out. And what about the Homepod? Apple didn't sell just 1 because production was delayed. 32-Bit apps are gone from the app store, yes there are only new 64-bit versions available for download. That's it for today!
